Connecting With Allah Swt

SALAAT. A SPECIAL MEANS FOR BELIEVERS The purpose of salaat is to connect directly with Allah swt. We have been given the gift of Salat (prayers) so that we can derive benefit directly from Allah SWT.

Allah swt has blessed us with the gift of Salaat to serve our needs and solve our problem - individually and collectively.

Life of a Believer revolves around Salaat.

Allah swt say in the Quran: **“O you who believe! Seek help in patience and Salaat. surely Allah is with the patient.” — Surah Al-Baqarah. 2:153

Hudhayfah ra reported: whenever the Prophet saw happened to face any difficulty, he would at once resort to salaat. — Sunan Abī Dāwūd. 1319

Disrupting our attachments / focus / reliance from the means (the created realms)

Abdullah bin ‘Umar ra once visited the marketplace. He noticed that “The people were very busy in their business, but when they heard the Azaan, they left everything and rushed towards the Masjid.”

He said: These are the people about whom Allah swt says in the Quran: “Men, whom neither business nor sale distracts from the zikr of Allah, and establishing Salaat and paying of Zakaat. They fear a day when hearts and eyeballs will be overturned. (The Day of Qiyaamah)” — Surah An-Nūr. 24:37
